Seasons
Seasons during the year offer varying shades of beauty and interest. Who can deny a bright and brilliant array of springtime yellow, pink, blue or green painted on a hillside, alerting our senses to God's creation! Summer breezes seem to whisper 'refreshment' as they blow over our cheeks. The splendor of yellow, orange and deep red falling leaves of autumn prepare us for the restful season required by the trees and foliage. Winter days and nights often pull us to be still, whether we like the snowy ice or not. Each of the year's patterns are filled with welcoming and unwelcoming characteristics. Yet each day and detail of time are part of the created composition of God.
Often decades of one's life are referred to as seasons. Spring being the early years and on to summer, fall and then the winter of our lives. From this perspective each era holds wonderful, fun, lonely, challenging and rewarding episodes. Experiencing smiles, special moments of laughter and tears, intellectual fulfillment, satisfying accomplishments, serving family and friends, and so much more, each season provides the opportunity to recognize God's handiwork and plan. Whether our present stage of life is spring, summer, autumn or winter, there is so much beauty to behold when we allow our heavenly Father to be guide and counselor.
