An Overflowing Heart

This is year five of sharing thirty reasons for thanks in November as I journey through Word and Today. Each year presents the same problem. How can I stop at thirty! My life is full of blessings.  As Thanksgiving Day 2014 approaches I am so very thankful for:
·        Precious Jacqueline Jean born in October, grandchild number fifteen
·        Warmth of our woodstove
·        Privilege of interceding in prayer for friends and family
·        Surprise pumpkin pie, Clark bars…and all the thoughtful ‘gifts’ from my Sweetheart
·        Spending her 87th  birthday with my Mother
·        Beautiful summer tanager pair visiting my yard
·        “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong
·        Anticipation of another Christmas
·        Carefully colored pages given to me by granddaughters
·        God’s Word
·        Church dinner theatre laughter and songs
·        Pumpkin spice tea brewing mid-afternoon
·         “Lucy and Ethel” experiences with my Mom
·        Ongoing faithful influence of Rev. Billy Graham on the world
·        Lunchtimes with granddaughters
·        Phone chats with Aunt Betty in her ninety-fourth year
·        Monday night Steeler football
·        All of my grandsons possess affable, mannerly personalities
·        My heartfelt joy as I watch the unique, fascinating strengths of each grandson
·        “For All We Know” sang by Nat King Cole
·         A weekend reunion with my siblings and Mom
·        Opportunities to represent Christ
·        Another three generation tea party with my  Mom and Granddaughters
·        Chatting about spiritual matters with Aunt Gail and Uncle Palmer while separated by hundreds of miles
·        Christian witness of my Grandfather Churchman during my childhood that continues to inspire me decades after his death
·        Afternoons of fun watching NFL games with my Honey
·        Our family Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve celebrations
·        Our new companion, “Lucy”, Golden Doodle/Great Pyrenees mix
·         Right to vote
·        A small group study of “Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis
