Year's end calls me to reflection on 2016. As is my annual habit: what were the highs and lows? unscheduled surprising interruptions? did I complete planned personal achievements? were my responses to difficult times adequate or disappointing? did I serve often enough in the name of the Lord? and finally, what would I like to accomplish in 2017?
Truth be told I think reflection leads us to growth and knowledge. Learning as time passes can build our faith and character. My decision as the hours fly is in the willingness to be aware and stretch. Satisfying rest comes as I listen to the voice of God.
