Reflection, repentance and renewal draw my heart and spirit each Lenten season. Ash Wednesday has always tugged at my soul. Stop and listen. Spirit reveal and renew truths to me. Remind me of the victories and struggles of my yielding to Your direction over the years.
I desire to give something up for Lent – again! The denial of food or social media would be easy, but I choose the difficult path. Denial of my way, my will and my blundering efforts to fix myself or others, this is my longing.
Over time Father, you have offered me opportunity after opportunity to know your peace and wisdom. Open that window of opportunity anew. Purify my heart and teach me Your ways, once more.
