The second remarkable woman is my Mom's older sister, Aunt Betty. We visit by phone at this season, separated by miles. Aunt Betty lost a son before he celebrated his first birthday, has grieved and buried two husbands and a twelve year old grandson. Incredibly she survived with courage and prayer. My aunt has prayed for me and my family always. No matter what is going on in her life, she lays awake at night with concern and prayer on her lips for our extended Churchman family members. Her endurance inspires me so, thank you Father God!
Aunt Gail is the youngest sister and a gift. She is one of the most faithful prayer warriors in God's Kingdom. I find myself inadequate to express my sincere appreciation for the hours of prayer she has contributed to my family for decades. We pray together and share scriptures over the phone. I treasure our conversations. Aunt Gail's health is challenged by chronic pain, yet onward she goes. She hungers after God, tasting of His presence through sermons and teachings by television and her church. Her faithfulness is contagious, thank you Father! The photo was taken in 2010 when my two sisters and I were able to share an afternoon with all three. The love and tenderness woven through each visit or call are like a reinforcing fabric that have clothed me with encouragement.
What a beautiful tribute! Those three ladies are truly amazing... and so are you! Thank you Lord, for this godly heritage!!!
