Advent and Peace
One of the reasons for the birth of Christ was to offer peace to all. And knowing Him is the only avenue to true peace, the peace that passes understanding. Deep comfort is a result of such a peace. We are living during times of great impact. Trustworthy teachers and pastors such as Michael Youssef, Anne Graham Lotz, Marvin Rosenthal and David Pawson, are sounding a caution about the fulfillment of prophetic spiritual and visual signs of the troubling times to come. Anne G. Lotz declares that signs of the times and end of the age are increasing in intensity and frequency. Instead of fear or confusion believers can trust in the peace of our Savior.
Presently, Christmas is everywhere. Advent provides an opportunity to broach the subject of salvation and eternity with folks who are in quest of resolution and answers. Many are on the search for an inward harmony and peace. Simultaneously, news reports of unrest, loss, or pain are everywhere as well. Financial foundations are crumbling in some homes. Military families are weary. Yet, in the midst of all these circumstances, an indescribable peace is available. I am hoping the celebration of the Baby of Peace will call many to accepting their “Gift” this Advent season.
